The Bronx River-Sound Shore Audubon Society advocates for protection and enhancement of habitat for birds and other wildlife. The Society sponsors and supports educational and conservation programs to engage people of all ages and encourage them to be better stewards of our environment.

We offer field trips, hold a new annual event with activities for both adults and children, have a series of speaker programs on environmental topics (mostly on Zoom and some in person), do a 5-visit program with schools, offer camp scholarships, have tables at several annual environmental festivals, and offer the opportunity to volunteer with our extensive bluebird monitoring and conservation program

We will be doing a bird presentation for people in wheelchairs at a rehab center

We provide many grants to help create and refurbish native plant and pollinator gardens in the area
